Director of Advocacy & Government Relations

Abigail Scott joined SOCEC in 2021 and supports the Coalition in developing strategic partnerships, policy coordination, and government relations. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Public Policy Degree from Pepperdine University.  

 

Abigail has been active in public service for over four years. She has served as an intern for The White House in the Office of Public Liaison during the height of the the COVID-19 pandemic. She has worked for the California State Assembly as an Employment Development Department Caseworker, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, and the Davenport Institute for Public Engagement & Civic Leadership. During her studies, Abigail served as an intern for the Mayor of Anaheim as well as the U.S. House of Representatives. 

 

Her dedication to - and involvement in - the public sector has equipped her with leading industry knowledge as an experienced public policy professional.
