Adam Wood serves as the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Vice President for Orange County operations. In his prior role, he served as Director of Government Affairs for the Orange County Chapter where he worked closely with local elected officials and municipal staff to further the organizational mission of championing housing as the foundation of vibrant and sustainable communities.

Mr. Wood concurrently serves as the Chief Administrator for the Building Industry Legal Defense Foundation (BILD), responsible for all legal research and litigation across the Southern California region. BILD exists to initiate or support litigation designed to improve the business climate for the building industry, to monitor legal developments and legislation critical to the industry and to provide education to the public and members alike.

Prior to joining the Building Industry, Mr. Wood worked in government and public affairs in Orange County and spent several years in the California State Capitol as a Legislative Director for the 72nd Assembly District. Through these variety of roles, Mr. Wood played a central role in developing public policy and executing implementation strategies that ensured success.

A near life-long resident of Huntington Beach, Mr. Wood is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University for undergrad, has a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and graduated law school in 2011 with a license to practice law in the State of California.
